Infraction given because of Server hiccups???

Hi all, as per the banner in CS:

"ClubSNAP Forums is currently undergoing some optimisation work for performance improvement. During this period, we may suffer some hiccups and downtimes. Please bear with us for these few days and report any forum related issue under the Feedback forum. Thanks"

I decided to post the forum-related issue in the feedback question (errors posting that cause duplicate posts to show up after 1-2 minutes).

Sadly, while posting that feedback, I was hit by the issue again, and did not see that my feedback thread had been posted thrice.

For this, I get a major infraction for "spamming"??? It was not a conscious decision to post that thread 3 times, I only wanted to post it once.

What good is giving feedback on the issues if it just results in infractions???

:thumbsd:

Who gave the infraction?

Anyways, yes, I have had a hard time deleting duplicate posts - they don't appear after I post, and then the forum says that I have a posting time limit of 30 seconds. Then out of nowhere, all the posts you have made just appear all at once.

Also, just to highlight, sometimes it's not possible to delete unless you're at a computer terminal - I don't think you can delete posts with the iPhone/iPad Clubsnap app.

I don't want to name the mod out of fairness (I have PMed him though) but it's the same mod that locked the threads and said "infraction given!".

But yes, that's exactly what happened - No posts, you think it's ok and move on, then before you know it, duplicate posts pop up like a bad case of athlete's foot. :P

My apologies for the infraction for spamming as a result of system error.

But the sarcasm in that post is certainly is not called for - a so call "feedback" added with sarcasm does not seems to be feedback but more of a personal attack on the forum. And it is contrary to CS Term of Use too.

That was a single word, and at it's very best, a half-hearted attempt at sarcasm - it was even pointed out with the "" marks, which normal sarcasm wouldn't. Far worse has been said in the initial feedback threads and yet there were no infractions there.

By it's very nature, feedback can be positive and negative. So if one person says "oh no! This color scheme stinks!!" it's a personal attack on the forum? So if users are frustrated because after the upgrade it's basically impossible to post and discuss freely because it's a very very rare time when posts go through normally, and then give feedback about their frustrations, it can in no way whatsoever be construed as vaguely personal whatsoever, and should be purely robotic and factual? So we should also avoid positive personal praises? Wouldn't that also mean that mods should not let their emotions be involved in any post?

To me, when the issue I was posting on is clearly widespread and results in duplicate posts, getting told: "Stop your great spamming !!!" is a direct and personal attack. So a vaguely snide remark due to the frustrations of posting warrants a major infraction, but a direct attack like that is perfectly ok? I have a lot of respect for you, but there comes a time when things no longer make sense.

I sincerely hope the feedback section will not turn into another Portraits and Poses section, where only "Swee!" "Pretty!!!" ":nosebleed:" posts are appreciated but negative comments are not.

The infraction has been reversed.

I am not about to debate with you on the use of language and sarcasm. Suffice to say that many in this forum esp the newbies have been receiving that from you. Just do not attempt to use it on any mods or the admin again.

Thank You and no thank you for the respect, I do not feed on it and also do need any from you. I have earn already enough(and rather tired of it) thru my work in ClubSNAP and elsewhere.
