If you speak Hokkien & Mandarin (Chinese), they are widely spoken in Chinese community, even some of my Non-Chinese friends are able to speak with that language.

Bahasa Indonesia is similar to Malay language .......pretty easy.

I think that is what he want to say.
I am sorry but the way Singaporean try to spell malay or indonesian words are very english. Just forgive them, no harm done except a few braincell working very hard trying to understand what they are trying to say.
