if he in houston.... inside shopping mall he will be safe lah.... but then hor if he outdoor... when the tikos get drunk, they will down him, some will take away the cam... some will beat him up... many will join in just for the sake... hehhee
But hor.. next time when you guys go for these type of shoot... bring a flag along lah.... if pple come with step ladder, raise the flag in front of him using your monopod as flagpole.... :bsmilie:

anyway, if he is the official photog, than its his right. but if he is not, imo, i only blame myself for not going early to chop better position. much like last years SFF, the whole bunch of us went chopping the best place as early as 1pm-2pm.
but since we are all photog, i think no problem if approach him to ask him to move back. again, like last years SFF, afew of ask went up to the organizer to request they remove the vehicals that was parked directly infront of us, the roof is easily 2m height. we were shooting behind the fireworks, under ben shear bridge.
considering he is so committed that he brings ladder, good for him. if only alu camera case can take my weight.
when i saw him with his step-laddder, i thought "wow, this guy must be really desperate to get a view." sometimes, i even wonder why some even go all out to bring such a tool to a photo event. a bit kiasu i think.

for me, i am quiet tall and i know i may block pple behind, so i will just squat down once i have shoot enough
I have a few ladders somewhere in the studio, maybe I bring one 8' ladder go for this kind of shoot, so some of you can stand on my ladder too.
See, I'm helping fellow photographers, can try promoting photography in this way.

So inconsiderate - I think should just reveal who he is (better still if you have a shot of his face). You're just telling the truth, no potential for libel at all and next time others will think twice before engaging in such ungentlemanly behaviour.
