the official photogs don't need to cover this kind of stuff, unless it's partly by a participating partner company or something.

I can understand how u feel.

I be angry and mad and that is why I never go for events shoot though I am more than capable to fight for space.

Honestly there are no rules to say he cant bring a ladder and in such free for all shoot, one has to be bold.

I share the same sentiment - I hardly got for such public events for that same reason.

Hopefully this will not start a "height" war amongst photographers.
This guy brings a ladder.....who knows what will happen next.

Some will buy a hard case and stand on it while others will be walking around on stilts ?

Just out of curiosity, any idea if the hard case can tahan 100 kg or not?

I'm not a lawyer, but I would think the only reason he can sue you is if you post a doctored picture of someone, and that someone wasn't really there in the first place. Otherwise, the picture speaks for itself.

I have no problem with photogs bringing whatever accessories they like and use. The keywords here are "Considerate" and "Ethics".

Did anyone request that he move somewhere aside to avoid blocking? If yes, did he respond?

Well, I did not pinpoint any nicknames here. I'm just showing fellow photogs here that there are such inconsiderate photog among us and a photo as prove of what I'm talking about.

Never go shooting such events after similar experience with such an inconsiderate photog. I think the authorities should disallow such crap.

i still cannot understand if it's really him. Totally 180degree.

the last event that i go...someone was standing on a small stool (about 20cm in height) and the security ask him to come down.

the security also checked my feets to see if i was standing on anything :bsmilie: :bsmilie: :bsmilie:
