We missed a turn-off that rejoined the main route and arrived at Ghrujung area by mistake. It turned out to be a 'good mistake' as the location was overlooked by big trekking groups. There is a good chance of you having the whole lodge to yourself.
Most lodges are family-run, we ended up eating dinner and watching tv with the local family.

Finally back after four weeks in Nepal, overall it was a wonderful trip, with many photo opportunities.
The only down part is that now I am trying to recover hundreds of photos from a corrupted 16GB CF card, so will try to work around this limitation and post in a coherent order as much as possible.
As usual, C&C is welcomed, including discussion on the trip.

For those who intend to visit the city of Pokhara in Nepal. I have one eating place to recommend.
Its called the Asian Teahouse (located near Korean restaurant named Sarang Hankook).
Cheap and delicious food, friendly family-run place. It's a hidden gem among the touristy area of Pokhara.
Wanting to try out different stuff, its not often that my friend and I return to the same place for meals; for this shop, we visit it for NINE meals. Eventually, my friend, who has an interest in cooking was given private cooking lessons by the owner.

Being a small place with only 8 chairs available, more often than not, you will need to share your tables during meal times; its thus also a great place to meet many other backpackers.
I think the record for us was 7 nationalities in the 8 chairs (Singapore, Nepal, China, Taiwan, S. Korea, Belgium, Japan). :bsmilie:
PS: Ask the owner about the wild honey he is selling, its quite a revelation.

The mountains were actually orange at the time, it was a tough choice between the coloured and B&W version.

Waiting for sunrise at on Poon Hill watch tower.
It was freezing cool up there, and the small stand selling hot drinks was doing a roaring business.
Thankfully, my friend and I did this leg at the end of the trip, where we were physically more conditioned. We passed by serveral groups who were out of breath halfway up the hill.
