If I may guess : this was taken at Tsim Sha Tsui near the Star Ferry terminal when you exit to the right hand side if you are taking ferry from Central or Wan Chai.

Thanks! Yup the ice cream trunk is exactly where you described it to be, and doing good business. :)

The day they issued a Black Rainstorm warning where, quote: "very heavy rain has fallen or is expected to fall generally over Hong Kong, exceeding 70 millimetres in an hour, and is likely to continue."

wat is da setting n wat time u took da picture

I think it was around 2pm. Was pretty sunny at that time.

The roof of the temple has openings all round, so its a matter of where the rays are coming from during different times, rather than if there are rays or not.

Settings wise
Shutter 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture f/5.6
Focal Length 28 mm
ISO Speed 500
Exposure Bias -2/3 EV

Hope it helps.

During a rainstorm, I noticed the buildings on the opposite side of the harbour partially shrouded in mist.

The only way I could get close enough with my 17-55mm lens was to hop on the next avaliable ferry and take a snap when the ferry was midway across the harbour.

When I reached the other side of the habour, people spilling out of the metro exits slowed down to take photos of the mist covered buildings all around.

For a brief moment, it seemed that these people had stopped rushing to their next destination, as they try to take in the surreal scene created by the weather.

This is probably my last photo of the series.

Thank you all for commenting and encouragements so far. :)
