long exposure+smoke from fireworks+bright lights from fireworks which brighten the thick smoke = smoky white photos... haa

Last night IMF Firework

Enjoy...
Good shots... Did you do any PS on the shots? If so, what did u do? Didn't notice much smoke in your shots though it's a smoky firework display...

My issue is not with the photos, it's with the fireworks itself. Our fireworks quality is just not good enough. I believe there must be some kind of mix formula they can improve upon.

I was inside the Welcome Reception on Tuesday night, so I can tell u that the IMF delegates were screaming and were WOW WOW WOW at the Esplanade while watching the 10 minutes fireworks finale.

It was shiok, the whole Esplanade Promenade is cornered off and we did not have to squeeze with the crowds. Got lot's of free buffet food, free Tiger Beer and Yakun toasts to eat.

All the restaurants in the Esplanade provided free food, like No Signboard Chilli Crab, Hagaaz Dazs Ice Cream, Sushi, Mrs Fields Cookies, Chocolate Fondue, plus the buffet area outside divided into the 4 racial groups... had so much to eat...

Then got 2 free shows - Forbidden City (Only show Act 1) and Diaspora (a show specially commissioned for IMF World Bank)...

The fireworks was the BEST I have ever seen, better than the Fireworks Festival and NDP ones... plus got really excellent sound system and music accompanying the fireworks...

Too bad the Merlion didn't light up at the end....

Manual mode
Exposure 4 sec
Aperture F9 or F11
Camera Sharpen +1
ISO 200
With Tripod
No remote, use self timer (You should why I use this)
Location: See if you can spot from the picture...

Above picture has some improvement on the brightness

Enjoy

Anyway, the brightness improvement you did on this shot is a little over-exposed in MOHO... :embrass: Otherwise, good shot... ;p
