Was the Vivo City sign in red? I can't seem to capture red signs and they always end up purple/pinkish...

if i'm not wrong it was pink signage & the base in red colour, same as what you saw.
i always like to compare the RGB & i believe Fuji sensor is good in this.

... Near the Helix Bridge - Converted from Raw using iPad's and the image quality was originally set to Neutral on the camera (which explains the dullness) ...

As you can see the JPEG setting of the X100 produces images with vibrant color - a trademark of FujiFilm image quality.

On a side matter, this thread is for images taken by the x100. Think the XP1 has a separate thread for that wonderful camera you have.
