I simply love visiting Chiff Camera Shop. His collections of Polaroid pictures is unbelievable. His passion for the craft of photography is simply admirable.

That's all for today. Going to bring this X100 out for a shoot tomorrow. Will be walking around Tg Pagar, Chinatown and maybe Marina Bay area.

Raining day and all things dull. Here's a shot of how things were on the morning tha I attempt to bring this new toy out for a walk. I ended up in Starbucks uploading pictures.

Here is the interiors of Starbucks ... The camera rendered the tones very well even with such weak natural light.

Macro was enabled for this shot and I sort of shifted due to recomposing. Kind of a challenge to get this shot as focusing takes a bit of trial and error. Partly because of the lighting and partly due to the fac that I was trying to get a bit closer to the words on the napkin.

Putting the X100 to test in a studio environment. You decide for yourself but in my opinion, the image quality is comparable to that produced by a DSLR. Other than the limitation of the 35mm fixed lens, everything else is equally adequate and up to the task. This picture was taken in a continuous light setting and custom temperature was set to simulate tungsten lighting environment. ISO was set to 640, Aperture around 2.8 and shutter speed of 1/125sec.
