Need some suggestion here: I currently own the Nikon 50mm 1.8 which is already a very sharp lens. Is it still worth considering the sigma? I think the 35mm will give more room to take photo within my small flat.

Compared to the Sigma 35, your Nikon 50mm f1.8 will seem like a toy lens. In short, go for it!

When it comes to a 35mm f/1.4 lens... ABSOLUTELY !! and if you own the Nikon just sell it and pocket $800+ or declare it a paper weight

Nikon 50mm f/1.8 is a cheap but good lens... costs <$200. Can't possibly sell for $800+.

Very nice. To be able to produce such sharpness & details at f1.4 is a tribute to the design of this lens.
