After reading all the reviews and contemplating whether to invest in the sigma compared to the canon, I've finally gotten the sigma today! I find the build quality really good and from all the test shots I've done with the focus charts, it seems that this lens is still pretty sharp wide open.

Gonna take it out later for a while and see how it really fairs. But so far, I can't help but keep molesting the lens. Haha "embarrassed"

I disagree! Keep shooting charts until you find a fault with the lens and come back here.

wah. seem like you guys got the lens like buying fruits like that. so easy! i go many places also no stock. some shop give good price, but so stock. (dono whether the price still the same when stock arrive ) one shop quote me $1100, got stock. but i don't feel comfortable with the price. lol. maybe i too picky about the price ba. haha.
if anyone know which shop got stock and good price, i don't mind hop on the same boat. jio me too~!

I got mine from Manly departmental for $1080, canon mount. But dunno whether it's the last piece not. Can call them up and ask

Do respect the photo and photographer. Personally I like the picture for the mood it bring out from the lens. Kiwira shoot great pictures of cosplay I have no doubt of the focus of the picture he is putting across.

Update on the lens status..

Kudos to Sigma instead of just brushing away a intermediate problem, I just received a call from them that they will be sending my lens to sigma japan so that they can get to the bottom of it. This means that I will not be able to enjoy this lens for the next two-three weeks, but then it shows that they are working hard to get to the bottom so that the product line is flawless!

Sigma Service Good work!
