Nice shots Saiful. It's a yellow-vented bulbul.

Yeah nice shots, and by the look on it's face it must be a female, hahaha (had to say that , my wife was looking over my shoulder).

Cannot believe it, ordered my FZ 200 last Friday from Hong Kong and it just arrived this morning (Tuesday) at about 10 am, amazing quick service. Got the battery on charge, will just have to remember how to post pics here, it has been such a long time.

First pic taken with new camera, had to be of "She who must be obeyed!"

Went for a early morning walk at the Bundaberg Botanical Gardens

All photos were handheld and those of wildlife at maximum or close to maximum zoom.

Iguanna warming up in morning sun.

All pics straight out of camera

Mind sharing your settings for the pictures, e.g. picture mode (vivid, standard or natural), sharpness/saturation/contrast and noise?

I watched a you-tube video by Graham Houghton on taking photos with FZ200 in bright sunlight and as he suggested set the camera to Natural with a setting of -2 for sharpness, contrast, saturation and noise.

I watched several of his videos too but personally I find that his recommended settings for bright sunlight do not work for me - the pictures turn out flat. I prefer vivid mode, with contrast/saturation/sharpness set to +1 and noise to 0. This resulted in crisp images that seldom require post processing. Just my preference that's all.

Fair enough, will give it a try next time, thank-you.
I imagine the intesity of the light varies so much from location to location and also depending on seasonal variations, so a British bright sunny day is probably different from what we experience in Singapore or Australia.
By the way it is good to see Australia going 2-0 up in the current Ashes cricket series against Mother England.

We are taking a short break and going to Hervey Bay which is about 1.5 hours drive to the south. It is a shame the Whale Watching season has ended but we are thinking about maybe going out on a fishing charter. Either way should end up with some shots to post, Hervey Bay is a very pretty town and so many elderly people retire there it is known as "God's Waiting Room". Looking forward to the drive, a chance to give the new Korando a bit of a run. Thinking of deliberately leaving the laptop behind as well as the hand phones, so will post when we get back in four days time.

to all contributors to this thread, thank you so much for your many posts & excellent pixs:D.
Wakes me up to the great capabilities of the FZ200 which i've owned since April this year mainly for use as a travel camera.
Seeing the awesome birding & landscape pix u guys have posted inspires me to make better use of the FZ more often to exploit its versatility!

Photography is all about sharing and learning. I am glad you found this thread useful. I have recently read Graham Houghton's excellent e-book on FZ200 which beats the Panasonic full manual. Here's the link, and it's free to download: "Graham Houghton has completed his e-book manual on the FZ200 and wonderfully made it free!
Valuable information, clear communication, excellent presentation.

Here's another one straight out of the camera. Settings: Photostyle-Vivid; C/S/S set at +1 and NR at -1(recommended by another user here)
