ilford delta 3200 help

hello all, i've been shooting film for about one year but recently made the commitment to M mount. been testing out all the different types of film i can lay my hands on and recently finished a roll of ilford delta 3200. i have been told that this film rates at about iso 1000 though it has good latitude for pushing to 3200. should i be pushing this one or two stops when developing? thanks for help, anyway i shot it at 3200

Hmmm, if you shot it at 3200, means you have to process it at 3200 lor. it's a push film so doesn't matter, just tell uncle to develop film at 3200.

I think it matters only when you get a low iso film like 400iso (ilford XP2, BW400CN or Tri-X). then you take photos rating it at 1600iso, THEN you have to tell the uncle that you want to push the film to 1600iso.

hi,

shot this last week at Bala Clava (you know how dark that place can get)...

f1.7 and 1/30secs using a Olympus 35 RD, developed in HC-110 Dilution B for 14.5mins.

another example, at Mortons...

f1.9 and 1/30sec using a Leica CL with Canon glass. developed in HC-110 at room temperature for 5 mins..But I had to photo-shop the contrast and brightness a fair bit.

i think for image 2, the time is not 5, i believe it is 6 - 7 mins at room temperature. the formula i used is

New time = Old time × exp(-0.081 × (New temp °C - Old temp °C))

Dunno where i dug the infor but:

HC110 = 0.081
D76 = 0.094
XTOL = 0.075
Rodinal use the highest...
