I will let SANYO decide what is best for the rest who missed the list - including you. AhV can only do "so" much for this wonderful community. Guys, this is ridiculous. AhV is kind enough to do this for us, so just go down and get the batteries swapped. Simple. Even if it means travelling from Boon Lay to Tampines, i think you should just do it at AhV's convenience and not yours.

AhV, just set ONE day for everyone to do the exchange and finish with it. I think there have been enough collection days as it is.:nono:

din mean to b so pushy. just like the rest of us who din manage to get into the list, was just anxious and at a lost at wat i or who i shld b directing the problem to. hope u r not offended by my repeated bugging.

We CSers are already very grateful and appreciative of what u have gone thru to help us get to the root of the problem. :thumbsup:
hope those collecting the replacement batts from u will b more co-operative.

I live in the east too and i work on shifts, so my time is more flexible.
if u need any help with the distribution of the batteries, i will b glad to b off any help.

1. Big THANKS to AhV. If there is a community service nomination within Clubsnap, I'll nominate this big fellow.

2. Another big thanks to AhV, for being so accommodating. For those who find him otherwise, probably because he is out accommodating others.

3. A little test report: Fully discharged the new batteries, then fully charged, first using Konnoc charger (1+ hour) and then continue with Sanyo charger (another 2+ hours, proves that the Konnoc doesn't charge fully). After 2 days, my Nikon SB80DX flash refreshes after full discharge in 4 seconds for 15 shots, then down to the 'normal' refresh of '6 seconds'. I didn't continue after this, no point shortening my flash-life. The new batteries are performing pretty OK. Hopefully this will last more than 3 months, which was when my presvious sets became 'lao sai'.

4. The batteries supplied by Sanyo through AhV didn't look any different from those in the shops, probably we will face the same problem in the next few months, but hopefully not.

5. Maybe someone with flexible work/school hours should volunteer to take over the admin of the next batch of submissions to Sanyo from AhV. He really doesn't owe us anything.

Just wondering what are the batches of batteries that have problems.

Also i was wondering what is the typical discharge rate. My Sanyo 2500s kaputs 3 days after i charge them. Is this normal?

I did a search and found some batch numbers and got the following numbers:

05-03-ac

04-12-0A

04-09-SH

04-11-ul

04-09

04-10

Problem seems to be predominently with the 04-09 series. Mine are the 05-03AC sets.

Anyone? :dunno:
