Let's see you carry one... do you know the physics for such a lens?

Even a 600mm f4 is huge, how would you be able to make a 600mm f1?

Pls use your brains once in a while. :bsmilie:

At the techno age, there is no such thing as bounderies!:D

Nevermind... anyway, this thread is about prime lenses, not zooms. :sticktong

haha, not sure whats the purpose of this poll.

I am sure the 50mm f1.8 will win highest votes cos thats the most affordable prime and possibly the only prime lens that many owns.

Not 1.4F meh?

For a slightly faster lens, you have to pay so much more, DO you think it's worth it?

but is it just faster?
I heard that there is a noticeale difference in the stops between 1.8 and 1.4.

well, yeah, i've had both at 1 point of time, in the end, still kept the 1.4;)

Personally, for that lil more, unless I really need to use it wide open, I'd not consider getting a 1.4 yet. I'd rather get other lenses first

Will bring a 35mm. Since im using a crop sensor cam, 50mm is too long for indoor nor close up enough for outdoor. 35mm would be just nice for most situation

I will get either a 35mm for full-frame or a 24mm for crop sensor

btw the 50mm f1.4 means max aperture is 1.4 all the way meaning cannot go to smaller aperture(f13 )?

it means its Biggest Aperture is 1.4 (and not any smaller number).. of course you can stop down to bigger numbers (smaller apertures) like f8, f11, f13..

I guess the 50mm focal length has won due to the cheap price and also the commoness during the film age.

I think people will vote based on what lens they have. I've not tried a 24mm prime before, and so I would naturally not vote for that... so I guess without question... the 50mm would win hands down :D
