If you can only bring 1 lens out for Street-Shooting, what will it be?

I'm usually alternating between 50mm & 35mm... ok with either one, usually its more of a case of trying to bring the "unloved-for-the-longest-time" lens out to get some "exposure"...

I feel 35mm is the best suited. Not too close like the 24mm, thats too wide for my feel. And 50 is way too cropped. So 35mm is best for me.

Actually i find that i only buy 35mm and 50mm lenses. Apart from one 21mm, i do not find myself interested in other focal lengths.

Between 35 and 50, its a question of mentality. 35 is more about composition. 50 is more about what to include exclude. Although the difference is abt 2 steps, i have come to learn it actually is quite a difference.

I shoot full frame and I prefer the 35mm as it's wide enough to capture the environment that the subject is in. This gives context and meaning to the shot. If I need to, I just go closer and get a tighter shot. The 35mm does not introduce much distortion even if you get in close. On wider lenses, facial features may become exegerated when you get in too close. And there are a lot of 'fast' 35 mm lenses to choose from.

for me, I will see the location/situation, if it is around tight spaces eg. markets, I usually bring a 21mm. Others, it will most probably be with a 35mm.
