Aiya $800 without freebies.
Wonder which SDHC card goes with the $800 price. Maybe 8G class 6/class 4 or no SDHC?
The Eneloops + charger will go somethere between $40+.
Using Manly previous price of $950 it means the drop is around $100.
Happy new year present for those eyeing the K-x.
No need to bang wall. Just business as usual. If Emjay is smart, they should also reduce the price for the tele zoom lens for existing Kx or K7 so that everyne is happy.

Me ohso no banging cuz me ony order the dual kits.
But me have to sell one of the bodies shortly, so me now have to lower $100-$150 after this new pricing... still I don't loose... just about break even on one of the ordered dual kits!! Heh!!
But, me slightly upset because my dual kits are being "prepared for shipping" at this moment... which means I cannot cancel my order now! I would have canceled one of the dual kits (and re-ordered later again) because I think the price drop will occur worldwide in the next two weeks or so.

I think there was a world wide price drop already - just that it is a bit slower in Singapore.
the 4x AA Eneloop + Quick Charger, cheapest I can find is $41, 8GB SDHC card maybe $28, so the bundle is worth ~$70 if you have to buy outside. Would definitely be cheaper if can get a bundle from the shop or Emjay... Emjay afterall are distributors for Sanyo...

Sorry to hear that, but I warned you guys before
As to the price drop, it's purely done by local distributor. The previous selling price was a bit too high, that's why you guys opted to buy from oversea. Since Emjay still has to service you guys' oversea purchase (if they come w/ International warranty), they'd rather lower the price and keep the purchases local
i hope pentax will produce full frame cameras... bcos i am sure the price will be very competitive...
for the first time i went through the pentax price list, and i must say the price is so attractive!
and k-7 offer 100% viewfinder.. but the only disappointment is the hi iso performance is worse than its competitors...
so i hope for a FF pentax ... hehe..

don't let high ISO problem stop you from getting k7, you can work around this weakness pretty easily, it's really up to you.
of course naysayers will dissuade you with all sorts of excuses, but for the price (especially now with this red hot deal), and a little work on the computer, you can have the best of both high and low ISO.
Especially if you have an existing PP workflow, a few more clicks will not hurt, instead can bring you much benefit.

Bro, now Amazon's price is at $850.00 now compared to our price that we ordered at $650. Do u think they will drop some more below $650?

Yup! Thanks for the warning! I actually placed my order on 3rd January... way way before your warning. Even then, it has been worth it for me.
But thanks to your warning... I did request someone two days earlier to wait for a few more days instead of ordering online!
As of right now (today), ordering online is way more expensive than buying the K-x kit from Singapore... plus one gets instant warranty and no need to wait several weeks (like I did) for the shipment to arrive at your doorstep!
It seems my wait will be for a total of about 3 to 3.5 weeks... quite a long frustrating wait. I normally wouldn't wait for so long just to save on a few dollars, but since I ordered two different
dual kits plus some branded flash units and other photographic accessories along with a laptop for my wife, this particular wait has indeed saved me some good bucks.
tks alot brother... i hope i read abt pentax more.. i have already bought a dslr abt a month ago..
but that does not mean i cannot switch ... haha... i will keep my eyes open ... somehow i like in body stabilization... this is a better stabilization technology... and i think only Sony and Pentax n perhaps lumix has it... and pentax is even more brillant with the idea of AA battery... i love it man... i got 15 min AA rechargeable batt man!!!!! why spend $30 plus on those stupid batt....

if i buy the pentax for the body plus lenses. where do you people buy the rest of the accessories. Like bag,dry bag,tripod ?

I think you meant dry box???
Bag,dry box/cab and tripod can get from all the usual shops.Canon will give you all the cheapo stuffs wan which you will throw away in time to come.

Forget the "free stuff" which is charged to you somewhere in the price.
You will learn soon that camera bags and tripod are very personal stuff and you want to buy them yourself.

ditto that. IMHO tripods that comes bundled are mostly next to "useless" when you really want to use it.

Have been aiming the Canon 500D or used 450D but after reading the K-X threads find that pentax is more worthwhile...
Just below $1k can get a dslr /w 2 kit lens, very value for $$$
If I were to get the $899 dual kit lens bundle, what else do I need? I already have charger + eneloop & sd card.
Camera bag & Dry Box?
