when i checked a few weeks back, emjay told me that kx will arrived on the dec 23. but i need a cam immediately so i bought my red Kx at ebay. it tooks less than 3 days to arrive in SG.

I just got my K-X yest. How do I check what is the firmware of my K-X? I know there's a recent firmware that addresses the battery issue but I dunno whether my K-X is already at the latest firmware or I have to update it?

You can check firmware version by pressing and holding the 'MENU' button whilst turning on the camera.

For that firmware update, you can refer to this thread. remember to format your SD card first before moving the firmware.

i bought the red kx dual kit lens from this seller. it was US$789 when i bought it but now it is cheaper by US$5. total damage SG$1230

it is much cheaper if you buy the dual kit lens as compared to the local pricing. the single kit lens are almost the same price as the local set so not really worth to buy the single kit lens from ebay.

please note that there are no freebies if you buy from ebay so you may need to consider this also. for warranty, you need to ship back to seller.

from that seller the shipping is 32usd to SG.

nope. its the normal 55-300mm lens which is the DAL version

The L is missing in your 18-55. So it means perhaps it has a metal mount instead of a plastic one?!! If so, you are lucky! The DA one is more expensive than the DA L one.
