always loved looking thru the tiny hole(viewfinder) and clicking away.....

.. and give you the excus to look at the model (girl) without being rudely staring at her.. haha.. By the way, this is not a joke, because I know of a guy who did that to ogles at gals. Like I said, it takes all sort of people to make up this world, so we can definitely expect all kind of reasons from people for doing things differently, rite?

Not surprising, I've heard stories of old man using ultrawide lenses and getting "up close and personal" with the models... and the best part is that there's no film in the camera. ;p

Always like it, but find it too costly to purchase film and developing costs...

I think I am very much influenced by my dad. I like drawing because he used to sit down with me to sketch out the pictures from his photo books. I still remember the first picture we drew. It was a macro shot of a dragon fly resting on a leaf floating on water.
I like photography because he was always the photographer at weddings and family gatherings. I still remember his huge lather case of camera stuff and the first time he showed me how to use a camera. He gave me a crash course on light, film and exposure the evening before I went on my school project shoot. We only have manual SLRs in the house then.
I think I will try to get him to teach me the art of jewellery and chinese calligraphy too. Didn't realise he's such a BIG influence in my life.
:embrass:

erm me again.. feels like some shrink seesion...
I had very few pictures of me, and nearing ORD we had many pictures taken but I didn't have a camera.
then the paranoia of not having any memories, since I have a very volatile RAM-style memory...
so I dug up my family camera, some non-zoom fuji thingy, shot and scanned.. wow.. photoshop 4.0 fun..
read about digcams, wanted to get the casio 3000. waited for money, then the nikon 990 released. bought it.
got the fm2 from my uncle. played with both.
990 too slow and feature limited, sold it for a c2100uz.. although clocked 4000+ shots in 4 mths on the 990...

i am FORCEd to take up photography... cos taking product shoots for my products... den keep buying & buying & buying every single accessories just to improve, den keep trying to maximise the usage, den got hooked to it, den dunno y keep continue to buying & buying & buying... THE FORCE IS STRONG...

think i am more interested in buying photographic equipments than taking photos... :D

I hope to turn pro one day shooting Japanese porn.

I want to show my kids some of his papa's nice memories. :)

I want to show my kid's thiers, because I have less than 50 photo of my child hood. As of new born to 10 yrs old. Now I got nearly a thousand shots for my 3 yr old and a few hundred for the 4 month. :D Life is beautiful....

My camera was bought for products for jobs. Somehow I found my camera is not fully ultilized and start taking something else. Of course...can't resist the lines, shapes and colours of life.

I started to show interest in photography after I have made my first pin-hole camera in my secondary school. Then I was given a Yashica compact camera, a really old type, fully manual. I still have that camera with me but have collected dust and fungus.
:D

erm... i got this passion because i was addicted with NGC's programme called Through the Lens... and i simply love the pictures in the magazines.... and soon wad can i say... i fall in love in photography liao.....

erm... its the fact i cant draw too... hahahaha so taking photos is for me too.. ever since when i was pri 3.... i was then walking around in a EM.... :bsmilie:

HI,

I only started to shoot my cute dog years ago with my dads camera. i stop shooting when my dog died 8 years later. Then one fine day, i pick it up one more time just to play around. so hook by it, i begin to understand what photograhy was all about.

now i shoot amost everything, spending more n more. but i still like film to dig. i got both but its film thats driving my brain cells to work harder if i wants my pictures right.

by the way , did u all tried taking fire works? howz yr pictures?

think photography is theraputic... at least it took my mind off things that i do not want to think about but can't stop thinking about...

This sounds mundane. But I started off this thingie because of my pet fish...
They are beautiful and gracious, yet so hard to capture them on the negatives.

Fell in love....took pictures of her. ;)

Fell out of love....took picture to forget about her. :bheart:

Drown the edge in a thousand fleeting images.

Never looked back since.
