Checked AF accuracy of the 40D at the Vivocity showroom with the infamous dog-toy.

Walked away TOTALLY IMPRESSED.

No hesitation. No nudging back and forth with each half press. Just rock solid stable and precise.

That's good to hear. I can breathe a little better for the upcoming 5Dmk2, coz it's going to be an EXACT feature-for-feature replica of the 40D with the full-frame sensor grafted on it (sans built-in flash and deliberately slowed down fps).

why do they deliberately slow down the fps on the 5D?

i'd like to see it have 8fps. that might even make me buy one (bbb virus hahah)

With regards to the AF sensors:
