I don't recall stealing things.... 'in a moment of weakness'. I'm taught from young, "If u can't afford, save until u can do so."

Good for you. But everyone is made different... including our weaknesses.

List down the 7 deadly sins... I'm sure we fall prey to some of them at least at some points in our life. For example, sometimes we hurt our parents' feelings because of our pride. I have seen someone telling tales about her boss, and she succeeded in replacing him in time. Some of us don't pay for all the software we use? Well... the list goes on.

Its just very sad to see kids making excuses for committing crimes when there ARE solutions to his problems

Actually, the fella who took the dictionary never made any excuses. He became reclusive and kept to himself after the incident... so I never got to find out why exactly he did it. We just never spoke about the incident again. But I think his family is not rich. Not everyone in good school are 'elites'. Some of my classmate's parents were teachers, taxi drivers, and there was even a gardener. They worked hard to get into the good schools, so it is not fair to label them as 'elites' and impose harsher punishments for their wrong doings. Similarly, the kid should not escape punishment just because his father is someone important. They should be punished like everyone else.

i dun think its just a simple case of card error..it might be a case of cheating/stolen card..anyway, its just wrong to pull punches at the driver in the first place..

well, if the concession card does not belong to the gf/him, it is morally "unethical" and simple English "stealing".

Where did the card come from?
1. They found it?
2. Other person lend them? with consent?
3. They used it without consent?
4. Stole it? Any other things that they have not declared?

And lastly, if you are hawker, you sold food to them, they ate and not paying or pay half, they punch you when u demand for the money, would you consider yourself just unlucky being "punch", then forget the matter? next customer please...
