HVL 58am or HVL 43am??

Thanks for telling me so much and enlighten me.

isit safe??

Hmm, for HVL58am power cannot adjust to 1/128??

Of cuz ebay is safe. Even safer then buying in local shops. (If you pay by paypal, you're covered!)

Hmm, if i buy 1st hand, the different between both flash price is around 140-160 like that. Thinking of buying this week but slrr only got stock for 43am

Woot, just got my HVL 43am flash after thinking of so long. =)

The flash is really different from my ex cheapo flash (emoblitz)
Still dont really know how to make fully use of it. What is multi flash?

I know it fires several flashes at 1 go but not exactly sure what it really does.. Does the manual say anything?

Haven't read finish the manual yet. =) Will share with you guys after i learn it.

taken from the F58 manual:

Multiple flash (MULTI)
The flash is triggered a number of times while the shutter is open (multiple flash).
Multiple flash allows motion of the subject to be captured in a photograph for later
analysis.

• The camera must be set to the M mode for multiple flash photography.

and so forth. is this what you're talking about?

simply means, for the duration the shutter remains open, the flash fires a few times. so if you have a subject that's moving, technically you'll freeze him/her in the frame multiple times. the darker the condition, the better the results.

hvl58am and hvl43am their diff is their ranges? their spec are all the same?

I had a look at the F43AM manual and that's what it says too. i think this should be what Telsoon is referring to..

Nice choice..
I got the 43 and my only initial regret was not going for the stronger one at a cheaper price like the 58.
Being an amatuer I realised it was more important that I learn to maximise my know how on what is already such a complex system..
Anyways sorry to hijack this thread but can anyone recommend me a wireless flash trigger for the 43 to pair with an a77?
I heard phottix just made a strato II for Sony and was thinking of getting that.
Don't wanna overspend unnecessarily.
Thanks!

Yeah, it's on page 42 manual , thanks a lot. Shall go and practice it when I bring it out. :)

It'll work best in dim or dark conditions.

GN refers to the guide number. Refers to the effective range of the flash, and is in feet. F58's GN is 58, while F43's is 43.

You have the wireless flash mode in your camera's flash modes. You can use it to trigger your F43.

Use what you already have.

I've noticed that the Sony wireless you need to popup the onboard flash?
