well i'm glad to hear that you're spending time with your bf's mom. perhaps i spoke without context with that regard, and i apologise.

yes, a dog's life is precious. i would be extremely upset if my pet was going through the same thing. every living thing is precious...however, i will not trade my pet's well being for someone else's, especially a human's..which is what some people have been suggesting.

i'm just sad and a little disgusted, not with you, but at the suggestions of some of the earlier posters

No worries agentmonkey, I understand where you're coming from as well. My dog is living healthily as of now, its been a week since and the mom did not feed her anymore which is a good sign but I still do short reminders to the maid every morn before I head to work.
