While trying to repair my camera with superglue today, I accidentally spill some on the plastic body. I tried 80% alcohol and lighter fluid, none of them can remove the dried glue. I avoid using nail polish remover on plastic.

Now, there is a big "blotch" on the plastic surface. Very unsightly!

Can anybody suggest an effective and safe method to remove the glue?

Thanks in advance.

At the DIY shops, there's a superglue debonder. I am not sure if it will work but it claims to be able to remove dried superglue. Test on a small area first to be sure it doesn't "attack" the ABS.

Thanks. Will try that.

Yes, the debonder works in getting rid of superglue. Unfortunately, it "eats" the ABS too.
