speaking of intelligence...i been killing roaches everywhere i c them...i did some personal research...roaches in singapore haf 2 type...street type n dosmetic type... street type usefully are faster n longer legs...due to running ard the rough terrain their body are higher from the ground...i tink muz be becoz outside terrain too rough n their body cannot take the abrasion...tats y they evolve...n longer legs they run faster...muz dosmetic type are different...they are slower n shorter legs...their body are lower to the ground... becoz our hse are mostly tiles flooring so they dun need worry abt hurting their body... also shorter legs n slowly...they dun need run much to find food...it's juz a short distance in the garbage bag...fancinating creature...highly adaptable...yet freaking annoying n destructive...

Yo... I think you should open a pest control company to pursue your passion... let nothing stops you from doing what you love... :bsmilie:

You guys make it sound like you have a lot of cockroaches inside your house. I very seldom find cockroach in my house, but I find ants more of a nuisance.

Ants won't kill, roaches will if they contaminate your food. Though we don't see roaches every other day, when we see one, probably there's an infestation spot somewhere and more will appear soon sometimes all at the same time.

Numbers come in 10s and 20s pack when you get a infestation hit. And sometimes it's not because your house host them but your neighbor or the stupid dump yard below...

i love to kill roaches...but in a very slow way...i enjoy looking at them slowly die... i saw 1 in my kitchen...i flip it upside down... most roaches are like turtles...if flipped upside down they will be stucked...but their chances of turning over is 80%...so had to do it real fast... after they are flipped over...i will pour medication oil...those super strong 1...best example is yoko yoko...then i will c them struggle n wiggle...all insect's body there are breathing holes... so i juz sat there...slowly c them suffocate n die...i tried washing liquid solution...tabasco... chilli oil...super glue...anytink tat is liquid n can kill...etc etc...i am evil...muahahaha!!!

Hmm interesting. Recently completed 2 pest control courses in Singapore. During the session on cockroaches, the lecturer told of rumours of a method in which the leftover residue in the cup after drinking coffee could be smeared over surfaces in corners of the kitchen, the roaches would die shortly after eating it. How effective it is, I don't know, no extensive field trials have been done.

Cockroaches I will use newspapers & insecticide.

But wat I really hate are lizards, especially those fat big ones
I know they are not pests but I just hate them, especially in my old house where sometimes at night you can hear the sounds they make.
So fat & big, dunno wat to do, most of the time I will sweep them into a dustbin, tie up & throw away.

Lizards are your friendly neighborhood policeman. They cull spiders, ants and roach nymphs... although I sometimes think lizards are communist though... keeping the population of others in control by law... :bsmilie:

One very easy way to kill a cockroach is to drown it with
its own weight.

If you see one , you immediately to the following

1. Squeeze a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid onto a cup or
plastic water cup.

2. Turn on the tap to add water and mix the solution.

3. Pour this solution into your toilet bowl.

4. Catch the drop the roach into the bowl,

The dishwashing liquid will destroy the water tension
of the insect and it will sink and drown very fast.

Its best not to squash the insect because of the many
bad microbes it contains when the splattered abdomen
goes all over the place. It will also release a horrible smell
when the fatty tissue is splattered, it is the defence of the
insect.

Spraying insecticide is also bad for health , kids, pets
etc.. and Expensive.

The american cockroach has withstood huge amounts
of radiation enough to kill a human. But it needs oxygen.
