if canon find out about this thread, which just so happens to be on a forum that is thoroughly browsed by people that i know work at canon, do you not think they will start to introduce a system where you must provide proof of purchase before you are able to get the rebate on a new camera? that would be a little annoying wouldnt it...

fromy my numerous encounters with buyers from BnS, most of them are not aware of it.. so i am creating awareness.. they were shocked when they bought stuff from me, and i shared with them about this program itself.

I am using Tamron 18-270mm + 1000D.. and my prices aren't high.. not compared to some people who are looking to sell their 18-200mm IS at $950, 500D body at $1000...

btw, i sold away my stuff already.. i din't make much money out of it... just want to clear space...

i only need thr 1000D body.. my buyers are all aware of this program.. i know u are kidding lah...

simply becoz we have small market, we deserve to buy everything at higher prices? my thread is not misleading, that is what alot of forumers are doing.. just that everything was undertable till now...

the prices which i have quoted are still below the current CS BnS prices...

Anyway, read the title of the thread carefully.. It is How to get? Meaning i am telling you all how to get it at that price... just that its abit tedious... but one can save $350.. why not?

the reason i posted this also was, when i was a newbie, i have seen potential buyers haggling prices with me when we meet up.. Like can give additional $50 discount... Some even ask for $10 discount... since $10 even matter to them, i am sure savings of hundreds of dollars will be attractive to them. faintz.. from then onwards, i simply sell my stuff in amk.. period...

and seriously, i have no problems selling my stuff, coz my stuff are what had been stated in the thread... :angel: all my ex buyers felt that they had a good deal, as i am selling mint and well maintained items at lower than the market price for 2nd hand goods..

haha.. i can forsee that too.. but then i won't be getting my tamron.. its a sharp copy... like the lens that i have sold off in CS...

My friend who is into photography was playing with my toy.. He is FF user.. he commented that the sharpness of tamron is comparable to that of EF100mm lens.. perhaps i really gotten a sharp copy..

i also find my copy of tamron to be sharp.. another friend gotten poisoned by me, he is dumping his lens to get this all in one lens..

the buy back thread has been in existence for donkey of weeks, even months... they will not check.. so many forumers have gone and bought their dSLR...

Anyway, I think Canon is not DUMB to come up with this buy back program which is in existence for such a long time la. Canon is a company which is ultimately profit driven. Hence, I do believe that they provide such a "goodwill" service for profits also.

I wished I read the "buy back" thread before I sinked in 23xx at MS Color for my 50D Kit III. I would then save about $150 tho.

it is very presumstuous to assume that they used the buy-back programme, just because they happen to be selling the 500d and 18-200IS.
