Has anyone here enquired on the eligible models, EOS DSLRs and lenses. Of course am not expecting 21% off a 5D Mark II or 70-200 but.... lol, I certainly don't mind getting some info. Or is that just for the Rebel/xxxD series?

CORRECT... I have updated my first post ;) for cheap lens, you need to buy the body + lens (whole package) then sell off the other items... the 18-200mm IS lens will then work out to be ard $600

It's time for a new thread "How to make money using Canon's buy back programme".

weixiang1900, your bold red text is power.

If I;m Canon, I just let this be. Reason is flood the market with the xxxD bodies and the EFS lenses.. Sooner or later ppl will upgrade and will probably stick with Canon. Those using the non-USM EFS lenses would most probably upgrade as well, what is there to lose. The bodies are already manufactured and needs to move so that new stocks can come in or someone from production gonna scream at sales for not moving it fast enough when marketing already say they should be able to sell.. LOL.

before i head to sleep i just gotta ask,

TS...
why are you so desperate to get the message out about this "deal" ?
if canon find out about this thread, which just so happens to be on a forum that is thoroughly browsed by people that i know work at canon, do you not think they will start to introduce a system where you must provide proof of purchase before you are able to get the rebate on a new camera? that would be a little annoying wouldnt it...

good night! :D

correct, look at Sony.. no offense.. look at their A230L with kit lens.. it selling for $600+ (street price)

even with this buy back program, there is no way Canon can match its price..
