Those come in to CS still enjoy to share and learn a few pointers here and there. So what's the big fuss all about? If any of you want to view artistic photos, I am sure there are plenty of other websites. Does it really need to be on Clubsnap? How much can it help us to post artistic shots when we all know 90% will just oogle at the photos and give unhelpful comments.

To me, there is no need for artistic photos to be posted in here. Some have given suggestions to just do a search and you will find at least 1000 websites on artistic nude photos.....

And so, I have decided to start another forum not to compete with CS but rather to complement it. It's early stages but I think it will be positioned from the start and very explicitly as a forum for artistic photography. That way, we can will be able to discuss nude as an artform in the right context.

I am an amatuer and hope that the experience ones here can join to become mods.

And if the forum is taken down by MDA, we will know where the govt stands on this issue but I seriously doubt it if the nature of the content is artistic and not pornography (and this will be another debate for another time)

sure, thanks for offering your help. however, a small group of us agree on 'Traditional Black and White' photos to be posted only also only registered members (with full personal details) can access to the Nude Section. please don't ask me why cause it was voted and won by majority. we are at the mist of constructing the forum, it should be ready on the 1st day of CNY. If you have a picture of a naked woman you want to post up, make sure the vagina is pixelated up to the outer lips of the vagina, and make sure the nipples are pixelated. depending on the size of the nipples, 4 pixels to 16 pixels should be enough.

A link should be provided to the full picture outside of the forum hosted on a foreign server.

A link to a nude image hosted on a foreign server sounds like a good idea.

However, you are publicly revealing that you have surfed porn sites which is an illegal act under Singapore's laws (if I'm correct). It's like telling everyone that you robbed/murdered someone.

It is NOT a reasonable solution - do you want all creative unhappy Singaporeans to leave? Or do you want artists to NOT COME TO SINGAPORE because we are so suppressed here? Also - why do you equate NUDITY with sex or pornography or temptation? I hate to stereotype you - but this is TYPICAL MALE THINKING - i think if the majority of CSers are females - we are okay with looking at female nudes - or MALE nudes for that matter.

Maybe because MOST (I say most - not all) females - at least MANY of my female friends are not titillated by visual images - we usually laugh a lot when watching porn movies and we will analyse scenes - like - sheesh - is she faking her orgasm or WHAT? or - NO WAY - it's NOT THAT BIG - etc etc! Believe me - I KNOW MANY WOMEN WHO WATCH PORN - but they don't quite get turned on - it's more out of curiosity or for a good laugh! And women who like to look at nude bodies (like me) - we like it because the human body is such an awesome wondrous beautiful object - created by the __________ (fill in the blank according to your religious/spiritual affiliation)

Porn is usually tailored for men - porn for women is very different - most of us (women) prefer words - for example, erotic literature.

The world is FULL OF TEMPTATION - as long as you are ALIVE - you will be TEMPTED - the more temptation you face, the stronger you will be. But if you want to choose to live like a frog in a well, to AVOID ALL TEMPTATIONS - so be it - that's your perogative.

As for CS' stand on nudity - well the admin has to abide with the regulations set down by the MDA - altho - I don't see how NUDITY or the kind of artistic nude images (which are quite commonly exhibited at the various galleries) can be considered PORNOGRAPHIC. Perhaps the MDA or even the CS moderators can come up with our definition of 'pornographic' - I have a photographer friend who gave me a simplified definition - there must be NO SEX SCENES / NO MASTURBATION / NO OVERT DISPLAY OF THE PRIVATE PARTS (or to be more specific - the 'inner lips' - or in scientific terms - the LABIA of the vagina) - the outer part (which could be covered with pubic hair) and and nipples (I DON'T UNDERSTAND THIS FEAR OF NIPPLES - EVERYBODY HAS NIPPLES - BOTH MEN AND WOMEN AND BABIES - EVEN ANIMALS :dunno: - WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT NIPPLES???) and the buttocks - should be acceptable.

Sigh ... sometimes I feel so out of place here - but I am Singaporean and eventho I have my love-hate relationship with this country - it is still my home - and it is MY RIGHT to make my home a more creative place.

My husband asked me today - whether I would show my nude photos to our children in future - WHY NOT? I will be their MOTHER - and they should not feel akward looking at the body which they were a part of.

PLEASE READ ANY ART HISTORY BOOK - it started from the Renaissance - when the nude body - i.e. the HUMAN FORM - is considered the most wondrous of creation and a reflection of God's glory - the belief is that - HUMANS ARE CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD.

Michelangelo was the first one to put nudes in A CHURCH - the Pope almost had a FIT - but Maestro M had his way - also Maestro M DID NOT LIKE TO PAINT/DRAW WOMEN - so all the women had very masculine bodies .... there are many conjectures about Maestro M's sexual preference ...

Actually some of my male friends told me that going to watch some bar top dancers in action in Singapore can be quite titillating - or seeing some of those NYTs (Nubile Young Things) shaking their bon bons at the clubs - actually not 'shaking their bon bons' - but gyrating and simulating sex - as in having sex with clothes on - don't believe me? Wow - I THANK THE LORD FOR PROVIDING ME WITH MY HUSBAND - he supports me FULLY - as a nude model (We just wish that I could make more money from this!) - sigh ... BUT he's Ang Moh - so maybe he thinks differently - f**k - there goes the stereotype again!

If I have a daughter - and she is above 21 - she can pose nude - PROVIDED no one forces her to do so - she's not desperate for money - etc etc. If I have a son - DITTO

Nudity is REALLY a state of the mind! The authority is NOT worried about nudity in Singapore because they know that there are many people who are matured enough to appreciate it but they also know that they are many more people who have different views, and as such it is not always possible for them to let go freely ....
It is only in Singapore, that even a single negative letter to the press will change a law! :dunno:
