I'm just a beginner in dSLR. Yet, I found my way to it pretty interesting.
First, I want a replacement for my PowerShot A80, I looked around and see the A570 IS ( I think around 360S$ at that time). Then I found that now I got quite a bit of skills and want to advace further. Then it went up to S5 and G9 and Panasonic FZ50 (I just intended to buy). But after looking at some dSLR, I decided on Canon EOS 450D. SO my intended budget shoot up from 400 ---> 1400.

I don't about the future, may be I'll have to get some more things. ....

You only manage when you buy. Its a virus which adapts and grows....will get through all your defences unless you buy better equipment to protect yourself against it.... :bsmilie:

-U start buying gear which u do not find much chance to use them. U just buy it cause its a good gear

-U start checking equipment and camera price list when you are free

-U always daydream or just dream only of how nice it would be for some gear to be in your hand and subconsiously U discovered that you have draft saving plan to buy it ( I got that and as I am poor this is very obvious for poorer people who have not much $$)

i've started on D40x kit in 07,,, surf.. surf.. surf.... got bbb virus (not from CS)..:lovegrin:
take long hard look at D300,, but instead got buy fuji S5 just last month (whilst at UK- @ Calumet -- missed current price slash on S5 at rockbottom price :bigeyes:.. sorry! sorry )...
S5 not fully explored yet.. likened the 'digital film' effect.

Wah, seems like I have this GAS too. Just got my DSLR 2 months ago, and I've started spending money on equipment & lens(es), and tempted to buy more. Worse, I'm still a student. :cry:

Owned a DSLR is less than 3 months...

Spend almost 3K.. yet I have not get any other lens yet....:cry:

Yes, same here. Just a few weeks into DSLR.

Damage is already $3k. Pelikan case, lens, lens pouch, accessories, filters, etc.

Now thinking about 24-70 L or 24-105 L
