I've spent around that amount in total as well. But now i've also a new hobby - portable audio and have spent $2.4K+ on my current setup. My next DSLR will be FF so at least another $3K+ will be added.

When i just joined the workforce in 2004 and is earning 2.3-4.5k (OT and Overseas allowances), i spend money like water.
Did a calculation in late 2006.
I don't even know where my $$$ goes too!
20-30K at least!!! Ah, 2 x D3 and 2 sets of zoom trinity!

Wah, watches more powerful. But the value normally goes up instead of depreciation. For photography, our monetary value goes down, but our spiritual value goes way up. ;p

Haha same sentiments. I also spend money like water. Guess it's time to stop and save up, but i still have my FF DSLR to buy in abt 3mths time.

No interest in watches though. For my portable audio rig, consist of IEMs, PMP, amp, an interconnect and custom earmolds, already $2400+.
