how long can a film stay in the camera?

of course you still can processing the film, but whether is the result acceptable to you or not.
no one can give you a definite answer how long can a film keep inside the camera, that depends on how you store your camera and what kind of camera you use.
if you keep your camera in a very hot environment, with film inside, the film might be fogging.
if your camera is very old, or poor design, then camera body might have light leak and exposed the film.

holgas have a tendency to have light leaks,
so if your film is in your holga for too long, esp under light
part of your photo maybe overepxosed when processed and developed.

cuz most of the toy camera
doesnt come with a film window
1 month or 6 months down the road
u totally forgot about the film
until 1 fine day when u flip the camera OPEN

solution: put a stick or scotch tape ur camera
so u will think twice b4 opening the camera
and also u wont remember what ASA film u put inside

I don't want to use Holga is due to the light leak risk.
My eximus may also have such risk so I better not take these chances of spoiling the photos in film.
But for other non-toy film cameras, I'm not afraid of leaving the film in it for sometime.
Just don't open the back, it will be alright.

yes, but it's better to keep it in your film canister in dark cupboard,
to prevent light leaks as some don't like it.

it is recommend that you process the film as soon as possible you finish the roll.
however, you can keep it in a original Kodak canister (light tight) and store in fridge for sometime, but most likely people tend to forget about it for or misplace it soon or later.
anyway, film is cheap, if you unable to finish a roll, and don't know when you will finish it, best is just rewind and send it for processing, it make no sense to save a few frames and risk losing or damage those exposed images.
