Oh !! Did you get any pictures of them selling Dog meat?
That's a real trademark of Vietnamese Cuisine, and they Exclusively eat Dog during their New Year !!!

Peace

Wow bro. I never knew that. :dunno: I was only there for 4 days for work really. I didn't get to see any dog meat really. Next time I must open my eyes big big! That would have been some shot!

.just another day.

.vege on the go.

These vege are fresh, I was told. Literally fresh from the ov.. i mean garden. If you really wanna get them cheap, buy them at the end of the day, because that's when they need to clear stock.

I'm shocked that the veges are sold on the muddy road itself. It's literally being sold on the road where traffic zooms by on a regular basis. What with all the dirt and carbon monoxide, i hope the veges don't get mutated. Which reminds me of "Zombie Farm"...

Errr. friend, what is the vertical "shadow" on the extreme right? The teacher? the door? you might wanna crop it off or something...
and then dodge the midtones to match the white uniforms...

just imho, ya?

Peace

Thanks for your advice bro. I'm still learning. The sunlight through the windows are horrible on the right! So i added the "shadow" to make it look like the door. :D maybe not the best way to tackle this huh? :dunno:

Let me have a go at this again and based on what you share, see what the end result is like.

MC: Errrr.... usually not.
The trick is to shoot it so that the "blowout" is kept at 9 on the greyscale, and then rest of the image is dodged till it hits the 4-5 on the greyscale.
This comes from traditional darkroom techniques.

MC: Alternatively, send me the jpg file, and see what I can do to help you. I LOVE THE NOSEPICKING though.. hahahahaha

MC: Last resort, is to just crop to vertical. Play around with the crop, a square or a traditional vertical crop might also work....

I cheated with the following pix. I changed the "blowouts" from the view of a ground floor garden to a view from a high building. There are indeed many many ways to cheat

.Da Viet Copperfield.

I remembered clearly what this boy was doing as I took this shot. First, he rounded up all his friends around him and started to explain to them that he could make a card move by itself. He was quite the charismatic person as everyone else could not wait to see what he could do. Everyone turned quiet and observed with great eagerness at what they were about to witness. He got into position, started to concentrate ... and nothing happened.

The friends left him.

cute !! You could have helped him blow the card.....
