Pentax normally do it for free as warranty. At 1 point I have quite a bit of dust in the viewfinder & sensor. Normal blower only makes it worst, maybe not powerful enough. I then get the Giottos rocket blower suggested by CSer here. After blowing the sensor & the viewfinder & mirror, all dust on sensor are gone with little bit of dust on mirror and viewfinder. I then gentling clean them off with a microfiber cloth.

It's cheaper to buy a sensor cleaning kit then asking Pentax to clean for you. (I understand your warranty is by OP) A Pentax sensor cleaning kit can be reused for many many times & cost $70+. But shirror may charge you $40-70 for cleaning your sensor.

Pentax cleaning kit? Where can I get it? Seems like only avaliable in malaysia? :)

CP also have other types. But you'll need ask the uncles there:) Check your sensor if there's dust. No dust no need to waste money 1st. Some of us, endure with slightly dirty viewfinder:)

Thanks. Mine has hair and dust from my pet i think (because I got very short hair) :)

Managed to spot the Original Pentax Sensor cleaner (aka lollipop) over at JB - Pelangi Leisure Mall over the weekend.
Sadly, the guy only pushed down the price to MY$180 from original price tag of MY$248.
Didn't get it as i feel it ain really worth getting.
For those who are keen, can dropby Pelangi Leisure Mall 2nd floor. Saw 2 pieces lefted.

Have to apologies as this trip was a rather sudden one and i have not much cash in hand to grab it first and sell it to fellow Pentaxian at cost.

Hoho... Yea. I have decided to send in my camera for cleaning and do a check-up to prevent further problems :)

Yea. I can only blame myself for being careless to put on my lens in my living room where my pet is located :embrass:

How in the world do you get hair into your mirror or viewfinder in the first place? In all the years of owning many cameras and many pet cats and dogs, I've never had such a problem.
Squirting air with a blower into your camera can actually introduce more dust if one is not careful.

You had asked a good qns which I cannot answer you. If I know how does the hair enter my camera, I will surely try my best to prevent it. :embrass:

Thanks for the tips. I will not use the blower to blow off dust in the camera again

when changing lenses, hold the camera sideways (or facing it down), much harder for dust to get in.

But when I get back my camera, I scare I will have to leave my office earlier again, so if possible, maybe can take back on Saturday.
