Help!!! Spots on the pics during night shooting

shld be flare. remove ur usual filters attached. lenses are designed to remove as much flare as possible already. something to do with refractive indexes and interference.

or just avoid those lights for all. then u wont have flares either.

.........that is not really true, there are lenses with better flare control and lenses with not so good flare control.

and if that is true, what are lens hoods for?

lenses will behave better when it comes to flaring when you do not use any filters, that much i'll give you.
