Those collected don mind to share how much you paid for your em1 by your preferred shop for the benefit of others? Thanks!

Arent the price standardised by olympus for preorder? Or individual shops can still set their own pricing?

This kind of pricing info is kinda sensitive... if too open for public comparison, it may hurt peoples' feeling. End result may hurt the second hands in BnS too. No good for economy.

Everything has already been mentioned in online reviews..
So I knew what to expect from the camera..

The 12-40mm is really wonderful..
IQ is top notch.. Shots capture a lot of details..
Never used the 12-35mm before so not sure how it compares..

Only the $200 deposit is fixed. The final price, the retail shops have some flexibility to adjust .. Not much though cos of the tight supply.

That's a very backward view. Price transparency makes for a win win from both consumers and the shops. It introduces competition which is always a good thing. Otherwise the consumers are at the mercy of the shops.

Yes. Better not reveal the price otherwise many people would said either "how come lower than mine?? Not fair!" or "how come too expensive than mine and HOW CAN"... then it would escalate in many finger-pointing situation. Better accept what you bought with your own $$$ and be happy with your purchase and continue snapping away.

I think that is the remaining capacity of the sd card.

I think what it is saying is that your card has a capacity left to record 39 minutes of video (eg 3 videos of 10 mins each + 1 video of 9 mins).

But the question is, can it record one continuous video of more than 29 mins.

I fully agree! In every developed country you have price comparison sides sites, only in Singapore shops still determine prices when you walk into the shop depending on how you look. There is nothing sensitive about that information.

Yes ... I think I can agree with your comment BUT I know the price I am paying is reasonable coz I usually check around & do my own survey first. This is call SHOPPING

Sometimes I choose to pay a little bit more due to convenience sake or more importantly for the renown customer service accorded to me. Priceless!

Comparing price alone is not enough, you have to look at many other factors as well & use your own judgement.

If we got good price, its good to share so that the ppl in this forum can get the same or maybe better price. This is what the forum for. Just like the recent case for GX7, there are good bros here who shared with us that harvey norman has a better deal. We are here to benefit ourself and not the businesses. I gotten a higher price for my gx7 at 1449 and the bros in forum got them at 1380 or even better. Moral of the story, check the forum first before making any purchase.

Like I said, you have to consider various factors... For all I know now most dealers could be giving less 100 buck off the Oly's SRP but next week these same dealers may give 180 bucks less SRP. It's a matter of supply vs demand

I know HN give better price... So what are you waiting for? Go for it man, EM1 is really worth your money. Don't hesitate anymore.

I feel the best position is where ep5 and gx7 switch are. Em5 still a bit awkward position.

yea, the em1 and em5 power button in a damn weird position. dunno wth they do that.

anyway, I'll very likely post a video unboxing once I get the set.

oh and btw guys, price is a sensitive issue, so I'll just give a tip on a new place to get relatively good prices - airport
