Doubt so.
As I understand it, there's a tax for video cameras and if a photo camera can take 29+mins of video, the vid cam tax will be added in. I believe it's a thing in the euro region, not sure about the rest of the world.
But then again, manufacturers would also keep it there just so that they can differentiate the product lines.

by the time actual reviews with non experimental sets are out, usually means cam already available off the shelf leh lol
I think it's also a gauge to see interest so that they can plan future stock allocation, etc
Oh and btw, I had an enquiry and sun bian asked any change in collection date, they said late oct.
I think this EM1 is more popular than the EM5 and it could possibly be a higher than expected demand worldwide rather than a mkt gimmick. Saw magazines ads which have been touting this as the camera that will kill all DSLRs. Furthermore the EM5 has already paved the way for this model.
So many cameras, so little time and money. Does it make more sense to utilize a camera till it retire or sell it off when the next model is out and when there are still some value left? I think there are a lot of people like me out there who just should be spending more time taking photos........ Hehe
