Help Needed: To create a Picture Slide show on VCD/DVD w/ commentary

One of my client is looking for someone who can do a Picture Slideshow(which i guess most can do with any software) but i need a voice commentary on it too. Any one with such prior experience and/or has the ability to give it a try is welcomed to contact me.

dun think most of us have nice voice to start with...

most software allows slideshow with music background source and also additional wav files integration. u might wanna test it yourself, if u really need help, maybe u could also provide a budget.

P.S, did once for my group for CR:CS, its quite easy to use, just time consuming if you are not those who like to use the Auto function.

Recently went for holiday with my old folks. Came back with digital photos, and want to burn in VCD so they can see on their TV (they are not familiar with computer so dont expect them to use computer to see photos)

The simplest way to do it for me is to use Proshow Gold. Can outout to various format. But like DCA said doing a voice narration is something else. You will need a pleasant voice plus a noise free enviroment to do te narration or else there will be background noise (phone ring, doorbell, children shouting etc). Till now I have not add any narration on the final results because of this. I use dvd editing software such as Pinnacle Studio 10 and Adobe Premier when I want more control on the process. I can select more transitions, fades, volume control etc.

U also use proshow ar.. its by far simplest yet effective... only thing to hiam is the rendering time... can cry...

Been using it for almost 5 years now. Agree on the rendering time but it does help if you have a powerful pc with lots of ram.

3Gb ram dual channel with 3.2ghz Solo core 64bit... still take up to 1 day... cry man...

output to iso, i tried once burn to dvd crashed man...

and dun include the pics into the dvd from proshow, super troublesome, just doing the video using 2gb will take 1 day, then iso, then add those misc files in to fill 3gb. burn into dvd.

well, making these is pretty straight forward and also you should remember to resize your photos first before you put it into the slide show
Maybe thats why it takes so long, unless you have a few thousand photos

If anyone needs help to make one, PM me, and I can either teach you or pay me would be good...
I would say majority of people don't need complicated tools to do such a slide show, and if all the photos are already chosen, then its real simple

More information , the client would produce the script himself. more or less he is the producer giving you the story board directing me what to shot to be put inside the slideshow. And now we would be looking who to find to :

1. Record the voice
2. Put together the slideshow
3. Sync the voice with the slideshow.

So i guess part 2 is the one i can find many that fits the bill.
So anyone got the voice and voice handling skills?

Sync to voice is same like sync to music, the proshow can do that, just need some tweaking... i did mine based on the beat of the music... have to listen to the music over & over again.

unless u say u are using a 30fps camera, then u wan me to sync lip to lip... i cry man... might as well shoot video...

Kinda hard to find someone able to do this man.
cause i dun want to do this as i have no previous experience and to start would take me too much time.

Ok simple run through.
1. Client Provides Script and pictures
2. YOU assemble pictures in slideshow
3. Find one person with a nice voice to record the script in sync with the video
4. Combine the video and voice together into a DVD.

TADA!

The slideshow should be around only 3 MINS! not very long.

Anyone able to do this please contact me ASAP with charges.

oh ya, just 1 thing... maybe i may sound stupid here...

but isn't it easier to get someone to narrate and record it within the time spent then we do the slideshow according to the narration? unless u wanna pay a hefty amount for professional voice over or dubbers who will then sync to the things we do, even worse... unless u guys wan 'time critical' stuff for the pictures to show up..

have yet to find a girl who could make me fall asleep while she speak thou... probably just turns me off when they nag...
