Help! funny color stripe

Hi, i recently finished a roll of ektar 100. 2 of the frames with some color cast. Any kind soul can help to enlighten me? TIA.

Yashica GSN. But strangly only 2 out of 12 frames. Maybe later i try to scan the remaining frames and see any more similar issue. But if light leak, shouldnt all frames afrected?

Also depends on the light and where the leak is happening mar. Not familiar with GSN cos I didn't use it much when I had it but you can just think about it this way, if the ambient light isn't suitable for the leak to occur, it won't.

a. is the film expired film ?
b. did you develop this at a busy place or a shop with little c41 business ?
c. lastly could it be flare ?

1. Yes. Nov 2012. Put insude fridge but not freezer
2.shop is at Clementi. Photohub. Not sure about their business. 1st time there.
3. Nit sure. These 2 shots are one and only shots there.

Think light leak is more likely , due to handling?

hi, nov 2012 should not matter.
fotohub at clementi is the best and their volume is high.
so this rules out fotohub development.
i am inclined to think it is flare or light leak.
but light leak should be more consistent, ie. on every frame.
but flare isn't so perfect,ie. vertically at the same location.

Not fotohub but photohub at sunset way.near grace digital lab. Not sure volume high or not. But for the 2 times i visited the shop, no other customer there except me, but think quite common for lab nowadays.

Just wonder is light leak color is always white or can have different color? Both photos taken between 8am to 10am.

see your negative, if the light stripes is also extend all the way outside the frame, the film sprocket areas, means light leak.
it could be faulty camera, your fault or lab fault,
light leak can be in colors, depends on how long the film exposed to the leak.


if the stripe only contained within the frame, more likely is flare, but seeing from frame two, does not look like a flare at all.

checked the negative, yes the light leak extend all the way outside the frames. so confirmed light leak.

i have checked thru the remaining frames using light box, only these 2 got light leak.

i will shoot another roll to rule out camera fault (just serviced less than 2 months by P&G), and send it to another lab to develop to rule out lab fault.

It could be the first few shots of the roll. Start shooting only when the film counter reached #1
