i say again, no ordering is needed if you are going to the company direct.
Calling up is just to be safe that there'll be someone at the company and that it's the best that you deal with Daniel directly since he have been doing the MO for the past few months in ClubSNAP

In the future, you can just do a search in this forum to check for any answers to your questions. If really don't understand, then post here.
And pls consolidate your questions at one go instead.
just my 2 cents

hi guys,
i just bought the Toshiba Dynamic data 256MB @ S$100 at PC show...the guy starting asked for s$125, but after i want to go he reduced to S$115, then S$100.....is this price OK ? how fast is the Toshiba ? i tested is about same speed as my old Scandisk 32MB....

also saw the Hitachi 256MB at S$96 only...

If it's the same speed as the Sandisk, then it's s..l..o..w..:dent:

emm...look like kena chop again....i tried on my wife coolpix 775, the write and read time is about the same as the old scandisk. yet to try on file transfer using CF reader.....

nowadays seldom come to CS..so miss out a lot of good offer......must come back here often....

hi...fyi only, try transfering the data from digicam to PC....yes, the toshiba is much faster :) so look like is the cam limitation....

anyway for me, my obj. is transfer data for work, performance come first...only thing is i still have the kena chop feelling...may be becos of the price cut from S$125 - S$100...desparate to clear old stock ???

Hmm... i bought the hitachi one at 90 bucks at the PC show. Have not tried it on my camera... will tell u guys when i have tried it

Just bought a 256mb at SLS for S$79. Brand PNY.

Dunno much about transfer rate coz still new to my Canon A70.

But notice the camera only detected 243mb. Still trying to find out whether is the camera fault or the memory fault. The original CF which is 16mb also detected 15.7mb. hmmm....

Any bro or sis can advice??

Wow, prices have been falling quite a lot! I remember the last time I bought a 256mb CF Card a few months ago it was still roughly $135!

Now i'm contemplating buying a 512mb card...

Hmm.. i guess prices will drop.

Wah u got ur 256 at 79 bucks ah... very cheap man.

I bought my 256mb Transcend 25x @ $135 also, dang, now the prices are dirt cheap.

fishcraze: Regarding the space not shown correctly, it's the space conversion calculationg thingie, ie they probably set 256 mb = 256, 000, 000, and since 1 mb = 1048576 (1024x1024)

256, 000, 000 / 1048576 mb ~= 244Mb
16, 000, 000 / 1048576 ~= 15mb

So it's pretty alright that your card shows 243MB.

hmm..does anyone noe wat is the speed of the hitachi one in PC Show. i bought mine there.

i bought the 512 30X transcend @ memory world @ 213 bucks

I just bought a 512MB CF card yesterday at MS Color at S$175 (including gst). The 256MB is selling at S$96 (with gst too).

Not sure how's the quality as there seems to be few of you guys using this brand. However, the boss is kind enuf to let me stress test it for a couple of days and if there's a problem with it, I can bring it down to change to another brand.

As for the speed of the card, I'm not too sure about it as it's not written on the card or the packaging but the boss claims that it is 20x. If any of you guys knows the speed or how to check it, do let me know. Thanks in advance.

Have tried using it yesterday, taking pictures/video and downloading to PC, watching it on TV etc. So far so good. Will do another round today and tomolo. If there's a problem, will let u guys know.

Btw, would like to thank you folks for helping me to decide which cam to get for my virgin purchase. I'm enjoying this new hobby very much.

Transcend 30x CF, 512mb @$215, 1GB @$400, all with GST.

Got a 1GB from Memory World a couple of days ago, very satisfied with it.

$400 is a good price for the Transcend 1GB from Memory World. Previously it was above $400+ everywhere.

Anyone checked the price for it at Storage Studio at SLS?

Especially with the 5 years 1-to-1 exchange guarantee.
