Help~ Can't decide on lens~

What focal length was this shot at and what was the shutter speed?
 

Sir, just may I ask, why do u shoot with ISO 1600? ^^

Likely its because he chose f/8 as his aperture for 'sharpness' sake, ended up his AUTO ISO bumped his ISO to 1600. There is also underexposure in his photo. Anyway to TS, the reason why you cant see the details is not so much the lens, but there is obvious handshake that blurs the picture. Thus you cannot make a fair judgement. While a faster more expensive lens will help a wee bit, your technique have to be polished.

Hmm... after reviewing my photos again, I realised why I made such a conclusion... I think it is because all the photos of that bird had shake... Here is another photo shot at ISO 200, f8, 70mm and 1/80s~

ur bird picture got hand shake blur, try to practice on how u hold ur lens(i can get a blur free image at 1/60s at the long end with IS using 55-250) or jack up the shutter speed if u can't
