Headache to find 1 wireless flash trigger for flash

if anyone keen i getting the original minolta sony to genric hotshoe adapter fs-1200. let me know. it expensive but if will be a much better investment as it sturdy and have a locking thread compare to the sc-5

Fully agree. the FS-1200 for converting from standard mounts to Minolta/Sony mounts and FS-1100 for converting Minolta/Sony mounts to standard mounts.
Unfortunately, these original Minolta parts are almost impossible to find nowadays. I only managed to get one of each when I was in the UK years back. You can only get the compatible ones now.

Got myself a yongnuo PT04 trigger and receiver set (sony mount).

This set works perfectly with the F58am flash, so those looking for a wireless trigger solution, u might wanna consider this YN trigger, at least proven to work with our flashes.

I saw artworkfoto selling a yongnuo 560 flash (in canon/nikon flash mount), which is pretty cheap. Does anyone tried this or any YN flash with the receivers before and did it work? Im thinking it should right, since its the same company...

Hi hi I have the yn480mkii ( can't rem the exact model but it's the 95 bucks) and it works with my yn rf602 triggers with fv48 and fv58

There is a sony version of PT-04 III released recently at artworkfoto. The transmitter can be mounted on the sony camera hotshoe without adaptor and Sony flashes can be mounted on the receiver hotshoe without adaptor too. Best thing is that PT-04 III receivers are easily a
vailable so if you wanna get one other receiver for those manual flash with universal hotshoe, u can get it easily.

1 transmitter and 2 receivers will definitely cost you less than 150 bucks from my last purchase price. :)

Hope this helps.

Hi, the PT-04 transmitter and receivers can be bought from Artwork foto, they are quite affordable, one set (tx +rx) costs only 50, additional receivers at 32 bucks. And as others had mentioned, it works for shorter range about 5-10m, and there is no TTL function, meaning flash output depends on your manual settings or calculations via GN reference/estimation.

just to check, does anyone know if i buy a hotshoe convertor for my alpha flash, paired with a wireless receiver, will other brand's camera be able to trigger the sony flash wirelessly?

Thinking of getting a PT04 trigger and receiver, with sony to the universal hotshoe convertor, so that me and my Nikon friend can share my flashes (dont need TTL, we can use manual).

So will this work?
Yes, if you have the receiver for other brand (meaning ISO hotshoe type), it will also be fired off via your trigger, as long as it is same freq set. Same thing , radio trigger only Pocket wizard offers TTL , rest of the radio trigger only provide triggering thru channel(s)/freq, which is good enough for outdoor.

Personally I got myself a sunblitz sony offshoe cable trigger, and connect to a 58AM flash for group TTL control. Less cables to work with, but note that this is optical trigger, not by radio.
