I'm looking for a decent tripod too. The canon give one cannot make it, leg fall out just now when I setup for shooting. :( I'm looking for something light weight, sirui maybe.

any good place to buy tripod?.. budget ard 100-150.. got a canon tripod from my purchase but its abit heavy.. did not really used it though.. scare not strong enough the whole camera drop.. haha

Sirui! I'm going tk photo to check out the pricing. Btw TS I already went the canon training, it's a good start to know more and ask question about functionality of our camera.

Canon tripod is strong enough. I remember from one of your thread, you are using a 60D, right?

The Canon tripod can tahan my 7D with a Tokina lens, or even a 70-200mm f4L, it should be able to tahan your 60D, no problem. But if you want a lighter tripod, you might need to go for carbon fibre one... and 100 to S$150 is stretching the limit abit tight... don't forget, a tripod is only part of the story, a good ballhead or tripodhead is the other part. No point getting a good tripod, the ballhead is crap, your whole camera will still come crashing down.

You would need to call these shops up and ask for quotation. Different shops sell different things cheaper... the list of reputable shops can be found in our price guide section :)

Oh... do look into the fotopro tripod from artworkfoto too. They have a website (www.artworkfoto.com)

Happy hunting.

saw a few thread saying TK is a good place.. might try out there this couple of days.. tks for all the advise..
