HARVEY NORMAN CHRISTMAS PROMO

Hi Donut,How much you buy the dry cab, akarui brand? Yea since I buy the cam from there, I should be a loyal fan there.

im a loyal fan of stores who can give me the lowest price.. as long as they give me 'ok' customer service.. haha
i bought my cam/lens/tripod/dry cabinet, all at different stores..

You save $144 from RRP, but you need dry cab cost you $100. As I know from you HARVEY NORMAN Offer free dry cab + battery + screen protector + cleaning kit + second 8 GB CARD + tripod.I also know at RRP you can make payment by any mode, and now they have instant dip as the price you paid you have 2 card, each cars have min $10 and some lucky one got $100. Unless you don't need any of those thing like dry cab/ protector/ cleaning…basically you not enjoy good deal.

Where is Excelsior hotel? Actually Cathay photo also selling the screen protector at $10. Digital Cabi or Akarui better?

I don't know what screen protector Cathay sells. I only know GGS is the one of the best in market.

I like akarui coz of Cathay reputation. They will be here for a long time. No scare they will close shop. You can have a choice of analog or digital control with akarui. U just need to pay $15-20 more for digital control. I'm using analog which is more than enough.

Hw often is consider often? Once a week? Once a day?

I thin u should just buy a dry cab. I can see that u will be just a hobbyist. And u will only use once awhile. Better be safe.

Once kena fungus, it's v troublesome to get rid, and it's never 100% clean.

One dry cab cost less than your handphone and it lasts longer than your handphone.

Its not whether got freebies or not. It's the Quality of the freebies.......

Harvey Norman freebies, you think they are good quality?

I have one, just that the comment of often is a bit vague. To a hobbyist or family use, one week once might be very often. But to professionals, 5 days once might be too little (it's a rice bowl afterall). I'm not forcing a quantity out of these discussion but it's best to let TS gets a better picture

Anw I am happy with my purchase of Canon eos 600D @ cathay. I was offered a class10 SD card instead of the normal agent kind and mode of payment was credit card. I should be gg back to Cathay to get my 40 litre dry cabi. Hopefully they provide me free delivery, if not I have to carry back.

Does cathay have installment plan???

Does cathay have installment plan???

Most shops have installment plans, it is just that you have to pay some interest in their installment plans when paying by visa.

Nope, not for Cathay photo. I was offered same price by cash or credit card or by credit card installment. And I never even ask about credit card payment yet.

It all depends on which salesman u talk to.....

heh... the same high price? ;) :bsmilie:

hope i'm not being too sweeping but that's how i find CP... i like them for the range of stuff they carry but i'm always left wondering if i'm getting the best price.

may not matter if i'm in a hurry and just wanna grab and go, or if they're the only ones with the item, but given a choice, i'll really prefer to buy from other places...

Thanks rhino. I get myself a plastic thingy to cover the hot shoe. WAHLAO that why no FLASH:(

I must tell u that this is a flaw of 600D camera.

The plastics thing is supposed to protect the pin connection from oxidizing and dirt.

Next time if u wan to fix a flash, it may not work and u got to clean the pins. It depends on how bad the oxidize is......

Define what is high price ?

Anything lower than RRP is low price, coz it is lower than what is recommended by the brand company.

You go ahead & get equote from them, show them your equote price then tell them u want to pay by card & hear what is their reply.

Aiya, I researched already. The price range for CANON EOS 600D is $1050 to $1090 if you are looking at recommended shop. I chose Cathay photo because the service is good, and you can get rebates when you pay by credit cards. Dont bother doing credit instalment as you end up paying higher interest which is not worth it in a long run. JOHN 3:16 is selling at $1050 but they only accept cash. Cathay photo is offering me $150 for a 40 litre dry cabi AKASUI. Is it worth it?

street price is always lower than RRP. but between shops, there are still some degree of variations. some shops play with the variations through freebies / packaged deals, some quote a bare-minimum package that doesn't give freebies but offers a lower price.

it really depends on the individual :) i dun mean to say that u paid a high price. just that i'm not always comfortable buying from there.

its more of a personal preference and there are other shops that i'm more comfortable with.

just bought a cam from harvey norman... d7000+kit+3 yrs extended warranty+2x 16GB/8GB memory card+tripod+extra battery+UV filter, is it high enough for $2400? i know i won't take the time back but just wanted to know if i got a good deal or not? i paid via CC for 6 months though and learn a lesson from there... hihi..
