Hanoi, Vietnam, Winter of 2010

Ok, you can have a drink now. :-) Nice series bro!

How do you achieve the vigineting effect?

Nice series.

I'm not sure if it was covered in Lonely Planet, but if you ever come to Hanoi again, you can try the Hanoi fresh beer ( or "bia hơi Hà Nội") to satisfy your drinking madness :D

Haha Gary bro, looking forward to seeing your photos.
Very sorry that I am so busy with the wedding & don't have time to bring you around, paiseh. Hope you like the boat trip also lol.

Gary shoots through boddingtons for heavy vignette and heinken for wide angle...

Ooooo! Boddingtons! Now we are talking! hahahaha!

Not a big fan of Heineken, still prefer English ale like Boddingtons or London Pride

It's not Hanoi Beer bottle, the one i'm talking about is this:

People always ask me when I shoot street photography:
- Do I shoot from the hip without looking through the viewfinder?
- How far am I from my "victims"?
- Do I use a tele lens?
- How do you do composition is such a split second?

My reflection in this picture answers all your questions....

All excellent shots Gary. I really like those 2.

You are now a black belt street photog! Very impressive work, it's time you think about doing an exhibition.

Thanks for the encouraging words Max! But I think I'm still far from exhibition standards!
