Richard, you're wrong on this.
Emjay does offer delivery. But most people collect from their office because of convenience and sometimes because the want to buy other goodies.

You're wrong on the battery issue too.
The camera comes with the slim D-LI109 lithium ion battery as standard.
Although the battery slot shows the outline for AA batteries, you'll need the optional AA Battery Holder D-BH109 before you can use those AA batteries.
Any four AA batteries (Lithium, Ni-MH rechargeable, alkaline) can be used.

I did stand corrected on the battery issue earlier as I mis-recall a youtube clip I saw but have since viewed it again.
As for home delivery, goodness I did not know that! That is a good service on Emjay's part except all of us are so impatient we rather go to the source than wait for it to be brought to us.

Just collected my Kr.
1 bad point now is that AA batteries cannot be used, the "adapter" is not available "yet".
All my AAs are wasted at the moment.
Haven't get to play much and "battery depleted". Sigh.

Any one got any idea when is the adapter coming, is there any 3rd party types for sale or where to buy online?
I saw from amazon.jp, available for pre-order only.
Btw its around $50. Hmm.

Collected my K-r. Must say I'm quite impressed with the overall quality given the affordable price. Ronald is such a fine chap, very accommodating. Met a few other enthusiasts: one really atas fella collecting his K5 :bsmilie: and a few other friendly ones. BTW the K5 is priced very competitively.

the rubber grip has a funny smell but that should disappear with time. maybe i'm too used to the nikon shutter sound as the kr has a grinding one
haven't molested it much yet but so far i'm really happy with it.

dunno will become sticky or not cos i just got it. maybe your hands are special... very hot so the plastic will melt :bsmilie:

as far as i know, the grip on my k20d is also rubber, and doesn't become sticky like some other camera models from other brands.

i think k100d was also rubber, didn't face this problem either.
