Thanks for the comments, all.

The shots look great!

If you zoom into the details using the PC, do you find that they are still sharp?

Ofcourse, not as good as a bright daylight shot, but pretty much acceptable I guess.:dunno:

See below for uncropped (and some new ) examples of the above pics. All are converted from RAW into JPEG with +3 sharpening using Pentax Photo Laboratory, and resized to 1280x854 in Photoshop 6. No other PP at all.

55mm, ISO 400, 1/4 sec, f/5.6

45mm, ISO 400, 1/6 sec, f/4.5

But do note that SR does not deliver miracles 100% of the time, especially longer than 1/4 sec. I've not been able to get a single sharp shot at 1 sec, despite many attempts.

very impressive!:thumbsup:1/4s

I've told some guys that I could take photos w/ the FA31 lens at 1s sometimes with good results :) Here I just tested again.

K100D+FA31 @ ISO200, F16, 1/2s handheld:

Center crop of the above (no PPing, just cropped from the original):

And most of us know that K10D can do even better on SR ...

Cheers!

That's very good. I think your hand also has the SR on.:bsmilie:

Awesome, Fengwei! Superb control there!

I think we need another f-number (the Fengwei Factor) for measuring the efficacy of SR/VR/IS on cameras. Reference will be FF1 i.e. Pentax SR + fengwei's hands. :bsmilie:

After some practices, I do think my hands got steadier when pressing the shuttle button ;) But don't think it's possible w/o SR on

Currently my f-stop calculation is like this: 10/FocalLength (s). Let's say, if I have a 100mm lens on, I can take good shots with 1/10 speed. If I have a 30mm lens on, I can take good ones at 1/3s ... But for normal shooting, I don't really care about speed anymore, indoor or outdoor, 'cause I know SR can work some wonders for me :D

Great tests... Anyone know how effective SR is with a monopod (how slow have you got so far to get a sharp pic?)... Without SR (old canon body that i'm using right now), at 50mm, I can monopod it at 1/20 with very minimal blur at night, must be great when you have SR + monopod...

Handheld 1sec....well...ok i cheated a bit :p my elbow was leaning on something.

It looks like that condo along upper east cost road. I attended a BBQ there. The pool and pavilion looks about right.
