The inclusion of the crowd (and composing it nicely at that) really adds to the usual fireworks picture.

I would prefer there to be at least some amount of space at the top of the fireworks cluster though.

Me too, that was what I had in mind, but I was limited by my gear haha. Probably need a fisheye, or do a vertorama during the fireworks and risk missing some nice shots.

My luck with sunrise/sunsets in Singapore has been pretty bad these few weeks. It has been cloudy or rainy every single time I'm out shooting. This morning's sunrise wasn't much better, but I guess I'll have to make do with it until my luck changes, hopefully soon!

Yup, which is why I still go out for shoots even though it may be super gloomy, you'll never know what surprises the clouds have for you. Unfortunately, those surprises didn't happen for me recently when I'm out shooting, the sudden burning sunsets only occurred when my camera wasn't with me.

Light Burst

Wasn't sure if it was going to work, but I tried it anyway since I had a disappointing sunset that day. I had to do a quick panoramic shoot during the light show and hope that the images would stitch well even though the lights kept changing. Only problem is that the light beams turned out to be curved after stitching.
