[Hak] Exploring Singapore

Exxon's family day at Marina Barrage yesterday. They still have it next week if you are interested to shoot.

Haven't been updating this thread for quite some time, one month to be exact. That's because I haven't had the time to go around Singapore to shoot landscapes recently, hopefully this will change soon!

Here's one taken from my home not long ago. I was trying out shooting star trails on a rare clear night, but I think I would need a better foreground next time! :bsmilie:

The moon is turning angry because of the haze!

Marina Bay this morning when the last PSI reading was 292, and still rising.

My hazy morning shoot was something that I already planned for. The exact locations and angles to shoot were already in my mind when I left house, this is to reduce the time spent outdoors. Of course, I was wearing my N95 mask the whole time for protection against the haze.

PSI had already hit 323 by this time. I wasn't expecting many people to be hanging around outdoors but I was wrong as Merlion park was still filled with tourists as usual. And let's not forget the army boys working hard in the haze to prepare the road closures for NDP rehearsals. I would have dedicated some shots to them but I was afraid of changing to my tele lens and exposing my sensor to such conditions.

Another one from the hazy morning series.

I have camped for sunrises and sunsets many times, but this is the first time I went to a location early for a moonrise. These were shot at Changi Beach, near the popular location for sunrise at carpark 6.

I chose not to go for the super close up shots of the supermoon, since it will end up looking the same as a 'normal moon'. It was actually quite fun shooting landscapes shots without using a UWA for once. :bsmilie:

Oh, I was the dude moving around, trying to find some nice foreground to go with the moon. ;p

One last shot of the hazy Singapore city scape before taking cover indoors. Definitely a good experience shooting at PSI 200-300, but not a healthy one to be repeated too often. Hopefully it's gone for good! :D

Super trees. Way too huge, that I needed 8 x 3 exposures for this photo.

First time shooting fireworks from this location. Didn't expect the fireworks to turn out so small from here, I thought it looked bigger on other people's photos when they shot it last year.

it is because the fireworks is a scale down version of actual day. have to wait till NE shows and Previews then will have full action.

Even the magnitude? I thought just the quantity. Okay thanks, maybe I'll try again during NE show. :)

Here are some shots from yesterday's NDP rehearsal, far away from the main action, but still an interesting perspective. :)

Yup, that's the spot! :) If you aren't driving, I believe it would be more convenient to get there from Marina Barrage.
