LVF2 has almost no moving part (except the hinge).. so I dont think it would spoil so easily... not sure if local warranty is that important.. cam bodies i totally agree..
just bought the gx1 with x lens, but how come no warranty card for x lens, only warranty card for GX1 body.
does that means buyers will lost the warranty of lens if they sell the body and keep the lens.
Warranty card covers both.
i know warranty card should cover both.
my question is what if one day we sell the body and keep the lens only, and buyer took the warranty card and receipt.
of course i will photocopy the receipt and warranty card,
but will panasonic honour the warranty since no indication that the lens is part of the warranty card and receipt.
anyone registered the warranty card? will the serial number of the lens appear after keying in the GX1 body serial number?
My brother told me the LVF2 is now available in Tokyo in the usual stores for ¥26,800. That's about S$444.
Amazon still cheaper at USD229
Just bought a GX1, anyone knows what size screen protector should I get for it? will one for the GF1 fit?
I believe any 3" screen protector should fit fine.
LVF2 has almost no moving part (except the hinge).. so I dont think it would spoil so easily...
The LVF2 has a spring-loaded button on the side that acts as a locking mechanism when the viewfinder is mounted on the GX1.
The other moving part is the dioptre adjustment ring that sits on the underside of the viewfinder. While it may appear a little inconvenient, I think the design is brilliant because there's almost no way the adjustments can be accidentally thrown off, unlike the LVF1 or Olympus' EVF2/3.
The quality of the LVF2 is great, like the Olympus'. Sharp, bright, fast.
The problem is where can I buy one? Amazon, Adorama, BHPhoto doesn't have it in stock at all!
Thanks. I'm not trying to be nitpicky, but it's like between US$199-249 in USA which is like a lot cheaper than the UK site in your link. Thanks anyway...
