Wow. When are they releasing in sg? How much? Really keen to get one as I am really not used to the lack of a viewfinder.

Nope, 199+5% service charge from Comgateway because they don't accept foreign cards. Then shipping within US will be another US$12? Then still have to count shipping from Comgateway to Singapore.

Nope. EVFs are not cross compatible like the lenses.

The Panasonic LVF1 is not compatible with GX1. Similarly, neither is the LVF2 with earlier GF-series bodies.

I will not know the individual shipping cost as it will be combined with all my other crap being shipped via Comgateway... But I believe your estimate is more or less there. Man I haven't spent this much on a camera for a long time...

Mass order no point as u need add gst too >400sgd. Evf package should be small enuf to pass off as something cheap?

Wow, bought original batteries from a Taiwan eBayer, saved myself a lot of money by ordering 3 pieces. Testing it now, and sleep mode works. A good sign that the battery is original.

In fact the original battery can really last. I took 400+ pictures today and there is still 2 bars. I was taking my kids, kept snapping till I can feel theleft side of the camera starts to heat up... =P

Amazing, before the GX1 was out, I always see the shelves of MS and other stores lined with Panasonic lenses like never move at all. Now I check out the usual stores, the Panasonic lens sections all clear, most have no stock for the 25mm or 7-14mm.
